History of Mamaro Miwa Kancho:

Mamoru Miwa since the age of 5 yrs trained in Karate, Aikido, Jui-Jitsu, Kobudo and the principles of Bushido.
Mamoru Miwa studied Karate with heart and soul, and practiced every technique with total sincerity and dedication, so much so, that he was gaven the pet name :" TENSHIN "
( The Sincere One )
After the Death of Funakoshi in 1957 ,Mamoru Miwa joined with Takeshi Sasaki doing CHIDOKAN until 1965.
Mamoru Miwa is in favour of new ideas, new methods, new fighting techniques and defence combinations.without discarding the traditional methods and concepts which he regards as the cornerstone on which to build.
He believes that without change, karate will become stagnant. A good Teacher should not be blind to new techniques. He wants to avoid the same mistakes the leaders of Japan made in the past two centuries by isolating themselves and having a closed view, and not advancing in technology as was the case in the west.
In September 1965 Mamoru Miwa Established the . "TENSHINKAN KARATE " System
As Funakoshi Sensei nearly 30 years before made use of his pet name "Shoto" to call his style SHOTOKAN, likewise Mamoru miwa used his pet name "Tenshin" to call his Style - Tenshinkan.
